Mupfuyi on WhatsApp

You do not need to download the Pamusika app to start buying and selling. Mupfuyi, our AI farming assistant, is available on WhatsApp — just send a message and start using the marketplace from a platform you already know.

  1. Save the Pamusika WhatsApp number to your contacts or tap the link on pamusika.app.
  2. Send any message — even just “Hi”.
  3. Mupfuyi will greet you and explain what it can help with.

That is it. No sign-up form, no app download, no password. Your WhatsApp number is your identity on Pamusika.

Search for Products

Type what you are looking for — “maize in Harare”, “tomatoes under $5”, or “eggs near Bulawayo” — and Mupfuyi will show you available listings with prices, seller names, and locations.

Contact a Seller

After a search, tap any seller button to start a conversation. Your message is relayed to the seller inside the Pamusika app, and their reply comes back to your WhatsApp.

Create a Listing

Tell Mupfuyi what you want to sell — “I want to sell 50kg maize at $3 per kg in Chiweshe” — and it will walk you through setting the title, price, quantity, and location. You can even send a photo.

Get Farming Advice

Ask about planting schedules, pest control, soil preparation, or harvest timing. Mupfuyi gives advice tailored to Zimbabwe’s climate and growing seasons.

Check the Weather

Type “weather in Harare” or “mamiriro ekunze muBulawayo” to get a current weather summary for any major Zimbabwean city.

Edit Your Listings

Already have listings? Tell Mupfuyi “edit my listings” to see them, then update the price, quantity, or description right from the chat.

Just describe what you want in your own words. Mupfuyi understands English, Shona, and Ndebele.

Examples:

  • “Show me maize”
  • “Tomatoes in Harare under $10”
  • “Ndoda madomasi muBulawayo”
  • “Find eggs near me”

Mupfuyi will return a numbered list of matching listings. Each result shows the product name, price, location, and seller. Tap a seller button to start a conversation about that listing.

After seeing results you can narrow things down:

  • “Only in Harare”
  • “Show cheaper ones”
  • “Under $5 per bag”

Mupfuyi remembers your current search and adjusts.

When you tap a seller button from a search result:

  1. Mupfuyi sends your enquiry to the seller inside the Pamusika app.
  2. The seller sees your message in their inbox, along with the listing you asked about.
  3. When the seller replies in the app, their message is relayed back to your WhatsApp.

You and the seller can go back and forth — text and photos both work. The seller sees your Pamusika name (not your phone number), and you see theirs.

You can list products for sale without ever opening the app.

  1. Tell Mupfuyi what you want to sell. Be as detailed as you like — “I want to sell 100 cobs of fresh maize at $1.40 each, I’m in Bindura.”
  2. Mupfuyi will ask for any missing details: product name, price, quantity, and location.
  3. Once everything is filled in, Mupfuyi shows a summary and asks you to confirm.
  4. Tap Confirm to publish the listing. It goes live on the marketplace immediately.
  5. Optionally, send a photo of your product to make the listing more attractive to buyers.

To update an existing listing:

  1. Say “edit my listings” or “I want to change my listing.”
  2. Mupfuyi shows your active listings as buttons. Tap the one you want to edit.
  3. Choose what to update — price, quantity, description, or other details.
  4. Confirm the changes.

Mupfuyi understands and responds in:

  • English
  • Shona (chiShona)
  • Ndebele (isiNdebele)

You can switch between languages freely within a conversation. Mupfuyi detects the language you are using and responds in kind.

Be Natural

You do not need special commands. Just type what you want in your own words, the way you would message a friend.

Send Photos

When creating or editing a listing, send a photo of your product. Listings with photos get significantly more interest from buyers.

Use Location Names

Include your city, town, or area when searching or listing. “Maize in Chiweshe” gives more relevant results than just “maize”.

Check Back Often

New listings are added daily. If you do not find what you need today, try again tomorrow or ask Mupfuyi to search again later.

Your WhatsApp activity and your app activity are linked. Listings you create on WhatsApp appear in the app, and conversations with sellers work across both platforms. You will receive replies wherever you last sent a message from.
