Seller Verification

Verification helps buyers know they are dealing with a real, trustworthy seller. Verified sellers get a green checkmark badge on their profile and listings, making them stand out in the marketplace.

Verified profiles attract more interest from buyers. Your listings are more likely to get views and enquiries.

Higher search visibility

Verified sellers may appear higher in search results, helping more buyers find your products.

Pamusika uses a two-tier verification system. Each tier adds more trust to your profile.

A basic check to prove you are a real person. You take a timestamped selfie using the app’s camera.

A stronger check where you upload a government-issued ID document. This tier requires completing Tier 1 first.

  1. Open the Verification screen

    Go to your profile and tap Verification. You will see your current trust level and the available verification tiers.

  2. Tap “Start Verification” on Photo Verification

    This opens the Photo Verification screen with instructions on what is required.

  3. Review the requirements

    Before taking your photo, make sure:

    • Your face is clearly visible
    • You are in a well-lit area
    • You are not wearing sunglasses or face coverings
    • You are looking directly at the camera
  4. Take your selfie

    Tap Open Camera to launch the camera. The app adds a timestamp to your photo automatically. Take the photo when you are ready.

  5. Preview and submit

    Check the preview to make sure your face is clearly visible and the photo is well-lit. If it looks good, tap Submit. If not, tap Retake to try again.

  6. Wait for review

    Your photo will be reviewed by the Pamusika team. You will receive a notification once the review is complete.

Once your photo verification is approved, you can proceed to ID verification.

  1. Return to the Verification screen

    Your Photo Verification will now show a green “Verified” badge. Tap Start Verification on the ID Verification card.

  2. Select your ID type

    Choose the type of government-issued ID you will use:

    • National ID — Zimbabwe national identity document
    • Passport — valid passport
    • Driver’s License — valid driver’s licence
  3. Upload the front of your ID

    Take a photo of the front of your ID or choose an existing photo from your gallery.

    Tips for a good ID photo:

    • Place the ID on a flat, dark surface
    • Make sure all corners are visible
    • Avoid glare and shadows
    • Ensure the text is readable
  4. Upload the back of your ID (optional)

    You can also upload the back of your ID. This is optional but can help speed up the review process.

  5. Review your submission

    Check that your ID type is correct and the photos are clear. The review screen shows both the front and back images.

  6. Submit for verification

    Tap Submit for Verification. Your documents will be securely uploaded and reviewed by the Pamusika team.

  7. Wait for review

    You will be notified once the review is complete. ID verification is typically reviewed within 2-3 business days.

You will receive a notification in the app when your verification is approved or if any additional action is needed.

If your submission is not approved, you will see the reason for rejection on the Verification screen. Common reasons include:

  • Photo is blurry or too dark
  • Face is not clearly visible
  • ID document is expired or unreadable
  • Information does not match

You can resubmit by tapping Try Again. Each verification tier allows a limited number of attempts. If you have used all your attempts, please contact support for assistance.

Your verification documents are handled with care:

  • All uploads are transmitted securely
  • Documents are stored safely during the review process
  • ID documents are automatically deleted after verification is complete
  • Your personal information is never shared with other users

You can check your current verification status at any time by visiting the Verification screen from your profile. The screen shows:

  • Your current trust level — Unverified, Photo Verified, or ID Verified
  • Status of each tier — whether it is pending review, approved, or needs resubmission
  • Number of attempts used — how many submissions you have made for each tier
