Creating Listings

Selling on Pamusika starts with creating a listing. Whether you are selling fresh tomatoes from your garden, a herd of cattle, or farming equipment, this guide walks you through the process step by step.

How to create a listing

Open the Create Listing screen

Tap the List button from the marketplace or your profile to open the listing form.
Enter a title

Give your listing a clear, descriptive title so buyers know exactly what you are selling.

Examples of good titles:
- “Fresh Maize - 50kg bags”
- “Free-range chickens - Harare”
- “Second-hand irrigation pump”
Write a description (optional)

Add details about your product. Mention things like quality, quantity available, how it was grown or raised, and anything else a buyer would want to know.
Choose a category (optional)

Select the category that best fits your product. Categories include:
- Produce — fruits, vegetables, grains, and other crops
- Livestock — cattle, goats, chickens, and other animals
- Equipment — tools, machinery, and farming supplies
Tap a category to select it. Tap again to deselect.
Set your price

Enter the price for your product. You can write it however makes sense for what you are selling, for example:
- “USD 5 per kg”
- “ZWL 1,200 per crate”
- “$3 per bucket”
- “$500 for the lot”
Enter quantity (optional)

If you have a specific quantity available, enter it here. For example, “100” if you have 100 bags to sell.
Set listing options

Configure additional details about your listing:
- Harvest date — When was this produce harvested? Helps buyers know how fresh it is.
- Price negotiable — Turn this on if you are open to offers from buyers.
- Pickup available — Let buyers know they can collect from your location.
- Delivery available — If you can deliver, turn this on and enter your delivery radius and fee.
- Buyer arranges transport — Enable this if the buyer should organise their own pickup or transport.
Choose payment methods

Select which payment methods you accept. Options include:
- Cash
- Mobile Money
- Bank Transfer
- EcoCash
- InnBucks
You can select more than one.
Set visibility

Choose who can see your listing:
- Public — visible to everyone on the marketplace
- Circles only — only members of your selected buyer circles can see it
- Early access — circle members see it first, then it becomes public after a set number of hours
Select a location

Choose one of your saved locations so buyers know where you are based. If you have not saved any locations yet, tap the link to go to your profile and add one.

You can save up to 3 locations (for example, your farm, a nearby market, and a collection point).
Add photos (optional)

Tap the Add Photo button to take a picture or choose one from your gallery. You can add up to 5 photos.

The first photo you add becomes the primary image that buyers see first. You can tap another photo to make it the primary one.
Tap “Create Listing”

Review everything and tap the green Create Listing button at the bottom. Your listing will be published and visible to buyers.

Tips for listings that sell

Use clear photos

Good photos make a big difference. Take pictures in natural light, show the actual product you are selling, and include close-ups if helpful.

Write specific titles

Instead of “Tomatoes”, try “Fresh Roma Tomatoes - Chitungwiza”. Include the product type, variety, and location if possible.

Be honest about condition

Describe your product accurately. Buyers appreciate honesty and will leave better reviews when the product matches the description.

Price competitively

Check what similar products are selling for on the marketplace. Setting a fair price helps you sell faster.

Draft auto-save

Pamusika automatically saves your listing as a draft while you are filling in the form. If you leave the screen or close the app, your progress will not be lost. The next time you open the Create Listing screen, you will be asked if you want to restore your draft or start fresh.

Creating listings offline

If you are in an area with no internet connection, Pamusika can save your listing and publish it automatically when you are back online. For this to work, you need to have created at least one listing while online first (so the app can cache the required data).

Listing limits

Depending on your account tier, you may have a limited number of active listing slots. You can see how many slots you have remaining at the top of the Create Listing screen. To get more slots, earn points through the rewards system or mark existing listings as sold to free up space.
