Buyer Quickstart

This guide walks you through finding and buying agricultural products on Pamusika. You can browse the marketplace without an account, but signing up lets you contact sellers, save listings, and join Circles.

Browse and buy

1. Download the app

   Download Pamusika from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). When you open the app, you can tap “Continue browsing” to explore the marketplace as a guest, or create an account right away.

2. Create your account

   To contact sellers and save listings, you need a free account. Tap “Login or sign up with OTP” and enter your phone number (for example, +263771234567). You will receive a verification code via SMS or WhatsApp. Enter the code, your name, and an optional password, then tap Verify & Continue.

   Tip

   You can browse listings without an account, but you will need to sign up before you can message a seller or save a listing.

3. Browse the marketplace

   The Discover tab (compass icon) is where you find listings. You can:

   • Search — Type a product name in the search bar (for example, “maize” or “tomatoes”).
   • Filter by category — Tap a category like Produce, Livestock, or Equipment to narrow results.
   • Sort results — Sort by newest, price (low to high or high to low), or distance from your location.
   • Save listings — Tap the bookmark icon on any listing to save it for later. Find your saved items in the Saved tab.

   Tap on any listing to see full details, photos, seller information, and reviews.

4. Contact a seller

   When you find something you want to buy, open the listing and tap Message Seller. This starts a direct conversation where you can:

   • Ask questions about the product
   • Negotiate the price
   • Arrange pickup or delivery

   All your conversations are kept in the Messages tab for easy reference.

   Note

   Look for sellers with a green checkmark badge — this means they have been verified by the Pamusika team.

5. Join a seller’s Circle

   Some sellers have Buyer Circles — groups of trusted customers who get special benefits. Circle benefits can include:

   • Early access — See new listings before everyone else.
   • Discounts — Get a percentage off the listed price.
   • Free delivery — Save on transport costs.

   To join a Circle, visit the seller’s profile and look for their Circle. Tap Join to request membership. The seller will review and approve your request.

What to do next

• Follow sellers — Tap the follow button on a seller’s profile to see their new listings in your Activity feed.
• Explore trending products — Check the Activity tab to discover what is popular across the marketplace and find suggested sellers to follow.
• Ask Mupfuyi for help — Not sure what you are looking for? Open the Mupfuyi AI assistant and ask questions like “Find tomatoes near Harare” or “What is the going price for maize?”
• Stay safe — Always meet sellers in public places during daylight, inspect products before paying, and keep your conversations in the app.
