Profile Setup

Your profile is the first thing other users see when they view your listings or messages. A complete, well-maintained profile helps build trust and makes it easier for buyers and sellers to do business with you.

When you first create your account, Pamusika asks for your name and phone number. After logging in, you can fill out the rest of your profile from the Profile screen.

  1. Open your profile

    Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen. You will see your name, phone number, and avatar.

  2. Tap the edit button

    Tap the pencil icon on your avatar or go to Settings > Edit Profile to open the profile editor.

  3. Add your details

    Fill in the following fields:

    • Name — Your display name visible to other users.
    • Email — Optional, but useful for account recovery.
    • Profile photo — Take a new photo or choose one from your gallery. Your photo is uploaded automatically when selected.
    • Preferred language — Choose between English, Shona, or Ndebele.
  4. Save your changes

    Tap Save to update your profile. You will see a confirmation message when the update is successful.

You can add a bio and announcement to your profile to tell others about yourself or your farm.

  • Bio — Share a little about what you grow, where you farm, or what you are looking for. For example: “I grow organic tomatoes and onions in Mashonaland East. Delivery available within Harare.”
  • Announcement — Pin a short message to the top of your profile. Great for seasonal offers, harvest updates, or holiday availability.

To edit these, tap the Bio & Announcements button on your Profile screen.

You can save up to 3 locations that you reuse when creating listings. Each saved location includes:

  • Name — A label such as “Harare Market” or “My Farm”
  • Province — Select from Zimbabwe’s 10 provinces
  • District — Optional
  • Village — Optional

To manage saved locations, scroll down on your Profile screen to the Saved Locations section. You can add, edit, or remove locations from there.

When other users view your profile, they can see:

  • Your name and profile photo
  • Your verification badge (if verified)
  • Your bio and announcement
  • Your rating and number of reviews
  • Your active listings
  • Your follower and following counts
  • How many Circles you own or belong to

There is no separate account type for sellers and buyers on Pamusika. Every user can both buy and sell. However, your profile signals change based on your activity:

  • Sellers who list products will see their listings displayed on the Listings tab of their profile, with filters for Active, Draft, Sold, and Expired items. Sellers can also earn a verified badge.
  • Buyers who have not listed anything will see an empty Listings tab with a prompt to create their first listing.

Complete your profile

Add a photo, bio, and saved location. Profiles with photos get more responses.

Get verified

Complete photo and ID verification to earn a trust badge on your profile and listings.

List quality products

Create clear listings with good photos, accurate descriptions, and fair prices.

Stay responsive

Reply to messages promptly. A good response rate builds your reputation.

Your Profile screen also shows the Rewards tab where you can:

  • View your points balance and lifetime earnings
  • Perform a daily check-in to earn points
  • Invite friends using your referral code (earn 200 points per friend who joins)
  • Apply a referral code from a friend
  • View and redeem available rewards

See the points summary for your Available Balance, Lifetime Earned, and Total Redeemed.

The Following tab on your profile shows users you follow. Following a seller means their new listings may appear in your feed, making it easier to stay updated on products you care about.
